ICA-62 for treatment of Tomato Potato Pysllid (TPP)

From the 8th of December 2025, all production nurseries in Victoria will be required to treat greenlife material travelling interstate with a preventative insecticide regardless of species to safeguard against the spread of Tomato Potato Pysllid (TPP).

Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP; Bactericera cockerelli) is a small insect that feeds on solanaceous hosts such as tomato, potato, eggplant, chili and capsicum. It was detected on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria for the first time on 12 November 2024. From that date a restricted area was established to contain the pest, but with a second infestation detected outside of this zone in November 2025, stricter measures are now required.

From 8th December 2025 we will be required by Agriculture Victoria to treat all trees going interstate under certification ICA-62.  Please note that this is a mandatory procedure and that a fee for treatment may be applied at the time of dispatch. You will be advised on this fee at the time of enquiry.

More information on TPP can be found here:

Our team will be available to answer any questions you have about this procedure at the order or enquiry stage by contacting us directly.

All Victorian businesses transporting tomato potato psyllid (TPP) host or carrier plants or produce interstate from 8 December 2025 will need to comply with entry requirements set by each destination jurisdiction. These requirements vary by state and differ for host and carrier commodities of TPP.
